Mission The Valentine Peace Project is a new social enterprise – a developing platform to share international poetic expressions on peace from one individual to another - and also through peacebuilding products – working to encourage and develop the artistry and education of peace and local and international trade with the aim of conflict resolution. Trade peace. We are about promoting, producing and fundraising for peace. And we are interested in the three levels of peace – inner, community and global. We are working to transform many symbols and products of love – chocolate, jewelry and flowers towards 'working for peace' – and ask a submitted art symbol or poem on peace to be a signature of the VPP label. For instance a Fair Trade Zimbabwe rose - promoting a peace initiative in Zimbabwe invites greater awareness and participation by the rest of the globe. We are particularly interested in conflict area entrepreneurs and their products which can include carnations from Gaza, partnered Palestinian/Israeli strawberries, or Afghan gems. These are some examples. In many cases they are Fair Trade certified – as possible – with the recognition that a certification procedure is not always possible in some conflict areas. We also aim to generate our own creative and dynamic products that promote and give to the work of peace. We will also point to those already working on peace products around the world – partnered products and products designed to connect the work of peacebuilding communities. Other artisans can be involved – we simply ask that you create one of your lines as 'working for peace' or donate a percentage to a conflict resolution program. Do you want to partner with us?
