An International Participation Project

Imagine receiving a flower with a message to you from someone in the world . .

We invite you to create a new expression of Valentine's Day.

Through poetry and reflection The Valentine Peace Project encourages a creative dialogue on Peace leading up to the worldwide love holiday. We are a growing initiative developing internet and community expressions and images on peace and the many faces of love.

On February 14 poems created are wrapped around thousands of different flowers in various cities to share. This is the action we work to build each year. With partners we develop peace dialogues in schools, poetry and a line of peace valentine greeting cards.

Be part of this innovative campaign:  What does Peace mean to you?

Submit a poem. Forward a video. Share your unique card design.

Do something creative in your own neighborhood - touch someone's heart - make something beautiful - give it away February 14.

Re-discover some of the mystery and magic of Love and re-imagine Valentine's day.

Be a part of the Project in your own unique way in your community or contact us to be involved next year.

Join communities in Wales, Canada and Australia as well as cities
Antwerp, Amsterdam, The Hague, Berlin, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, New York and Los Angeles.

"And one by one the nights between our separated cities are joined to the night that unites us."
"Poetry is an act of peace. Peace goes into the making of a poem as flour goes into the making of bread."
Pablo Neruda

TVPP works with schools, programs and artists also on the UN International Day of Peace (21 September - pathwaystopeace.org) and with innovative initiatives such as Peace in Five Years (February 14, 2014 - p5y.org)  as well as fair-trade business - developing programs, products and creative expressions to further the conversation for peace.
